Hello:
Several Blythe residents asked if our proposal has anything to do with the planned (BRADS) landfill on the Burma Road. Our proposal has nothing to do with this landfill and does not involve the disposal of any type of waste, and never will. What it does involve is mining and reclamation at the site of the Silver Creek Reservoir to recover as much as 4 million tons of high quality virgin anthracite coal and create an even larger reservoir or lake. This approach to improve land and water resources has been successful at sites around the world. See this page on our website for some examples. http://www.opportunityforblythe.com/LinkstoMineLakeWebsites.html
Also, some residents asked how much money could be made from mining this coal. As stated above, as much as 4 million tons of coal have been proven to exist at this site. We are certain that most of these coal reserves could be recovered quite profitably. Marketable coal value could easily exceed $150 million. Again, we wish to share this wealth with Blythe Township, but need the help of Blythe residents to have elected and appointed officials give this opportunity the attention and evaluation it deserves.
Keep the questions and comments coming! We are here to inform!
